Allyson, aka @digitalgirlfriend, and AM have been having a courtship friendship online for months now.  Two kindred spirits fighting the good fight in two different states, these two correspond via Instagram.  This has become quite typical in the sex worker community these days, ever since Covid and out of the necessity to pay attention to other sex workers and their experiences during this time.  Allyson works from home, like so many of us, but began her work out of the club before Covid.  She is an entrepreneur and created succexxxful.com/ a resource for Sex Workers, which also includes health insurance for dancers.  Listen and learn more about her this babe and how she’s navigating the waters of today.

Antonia and AM were destined to meet and have spent the last two years building and working on and for Soldiers of Pole together with a team of amazing sex workers.  Antonia has been a stripper for 26 years, was one is the dancers that unionized the Lusty Lady in San Fransisco and is the founder of Soldiers of Pole.  A pioneer of strippers rights, Antonia has a wealth of experience in labor rights for our community.

This interview could have gone on and on and on… There was so much to talk about and not enough time.  Gotta bring this babe back around for part 2 asap.  GiGi is an accomplished burlesque performer and stripper.  Her ability to gab, and keep you hooked is contagious.  Because GiGi has lived in both worlds, stripper and burlesque, she has keen insight on the difference and similarities of both.  Because, yes, they are two different things!  Get lost in this convo and find out which facet she prefers, Burlesque or Stripping.

Shaun and AM have a history.  A more intimate history than most other bouncers that she’s met.  An unusual encounter with a customer led to AM reporting and incident and being dismissed, by not only the bouncer, in this case Shaun, but the manager as well.  The two talk about this incident while Shaun also let out what he dealt with in the industry.  We sometimes forget that strippers are not the only ones that deal with stigma and confusing and complex relationships at the club.  This is the first episode where we are interviewing a non-stripper, instead a strip club staffer.

This week we caught up with Jinx, an incredible writing artist and performance artist.  Like so many other sex workers, Jinx is pivoting, adapting, trying new things on for size.  AM and Jinx talk about what this new world and life is like and the feedback from new “clients” online.  They even talk about the weird ass shit (pun intended) that people ask for.  How to navigate all the things and still indulge in one’s artistry… this one is entertaining.

Well, well, well, we finally get to Vegas.  A meca for strippers and strip clubs.  Kristian is our guest and gives us the lowdown on what’s happening in Las Vegas and the games that are played there. Only these ones aren’t in the casinos.  Club owners and managers in Vegas are at the top of their game and they play dirty.  AM once a stripper in Vegas, years ago, corroborates what Kristian says is happening now, as she saw the beginnings of issues out there back in 2005.  The deal is, strippers are part of the life blood of that city and they deserve better.

Kayla and AM have worked together and known each other in their performer journey since 2007.  They basically grew up together and into their groove in their sex work journey.  These two met at Jumbo’s Clown Room but have continued to be friends and colleagues.  They reminisce on the old days, fill each other in on the current days and how Kayla has grown as a performer, producer, and activist.  Fresh after an all Asian Stripper Show she produced just the day before, Kayla reflects on what it’s like being a stripper representing the Asian community in a time where racial injustices are being talked about the most.

Lilly Moon was having another casual day at work.  One where she ate pizza on stage and was getting rained on by an adoring audience.  Little did she know that that moment caught on camera would go viral.  Lilly and AMD used to work together at Jumbo’s Clown Room and reunited to talk about the current times, the past times and what it means to be a viral stripper that loves pizza to the max.

Valerie Stunning lives up to her last name for sure. This babe is stunning in more ways that one.  Her smile, her energy and her drive to inform her community… a recipe for sparkles all around.  Valerie and AM talk about what they miss the most about stripping, as both were forced into early retirement for different reasons.  Valerie’s insight on the industry comes from an awakened point of view.  Being someone that pulled back the veil of Whorephobia, exposed to the reality of the patriarchy, she is someone we can all learn from.  And oh yeah, she makes white truffle ice cream and turns serving it into an experience.  I mean… that sounds so hawt!
