Selena the Stripper returns as a guest with AMD to specifically talk about the celebrities that plague our industry.  For a while now, we have seen the obsession of sex workers by celebrities and we know that we inspire them.  However, these days, their obsession has turned sex work into an even more precarious field to navigate.  Selena and AM chat a little about FKA Twigs and hella about Bella.  Bella Thorne that is.  What they have done, what they continue to do or not do and how their actions have been damaging an already vulnerable workforce.  There is some good news in there too, but you have to listen all the way through to get to the silver lining.  Lastly, Thank You Kehlani, for representing us in such a beautiful manner.  We appreciate you.  #HopeYouListen (hint hint ;)

Boo Boo Brian is a male stripper/pole dancer.  Usually, male strippers in the past have not used the pole.  But since the rise of pole dancing, that is changing, especially in the LGBTQ stripping community.  Brian found his sexual freedom of expression that led to him discovering that stripping was a path he wanted to follow.  He loves being a big ole slut on stage!  In fact, stripping was what helped him develop style and personality on stage and inspired him to be more whore-like on competition stages.  Leave it to the sex worker community to inspire, guide and love individuals as they journey through their own whoredom.  Take a listen as he credits sex worker friends and community for his comeuppance.

Andre Shakti lives life with intention.  She’s not afraid to try new things, to be the first, to get knocked down because, 100% for sure, she will get back up again.  There was a massive amount of energy not only in the story of her life, but in Andre’s way of being.  It was refreshing to talk to someone so hungry for life and adventure.  This queen truly plays by her own rules while finding ways to include and uplift her surrounding community.  Andre is an at home Dominatrix, a master at wrestling porn and the Queen B behind Sanctuary Virtual Strip Club online.  Wake up, drink your coffee and feel energized by this amazing stripper!

Starshe aka Jezabelle, is from Hot Springs, Arkansas, but she has been a traveling stripper for most of her career.  Within her two decades of being a traveling stripper, Starshe has seen it all, the good, the bad and the ugly.  Unfortunately, the ‘ugly’ is at home in Hot Springs.  Since she is in a position to be able to compare good working conditions to bad working conditions, it’s even more annoying for her to see what’s going on in Arkansas.  Starshe spilled the beans and gave us the 411 on what’s happening at this little club tucked away in middle America.  We often forget how big and diverse our country is.  Yes, strip clubs exist in rural parts of America, where progressive thinking and ways of being are more scarce.

A couple years long dream came true for AMD. On this episode, she interviews Jacq the Stripper, an idol and a friend. Jacq the Stripper is known as the comic stripper, the babe that makes all those funny cartoons that depict real stripper life in amusing ways, giving all us strippers a laugh and a way to make light of the stigmas and challenges we face. But, this stripper longs for the stage. During this pandemic, people like Jacq are grieving the stage, the place where they feel as if their purpose is being fulfilled. But of course, in true sex worker fashion, she adapts and has words of wisdom to share with other strippers and entertainers.

No, not all strippers think alike, because strippers are all different types of people (just like any workforce) with different types of backgrounds and experience. This week’s guest, Celeste, met AM on a video shoot for a Youtube channel called ‘Jubilee’, video titled “Do All Strippers Think the Same.”  Celeste is a baby stripper, AM is a veteran stripper.  With that difference between them, their views on sex work and being a stripper are just so different!  On this episode, the two discuss their differences, their reasons for their thoughts and the best part, they both acknowledged where they made mistakes in their first encounter.  They both learned from each other and wanted to do this episode so you could learn from them.

Lisa Michelle and AMD have been friends for several years.  They both have experienced going in and out of sex work/stripping during their career and talk about why and what that’s like.
But also, they discuss the complicated boundaries that strippers face when potentially moving into other types of sex work.  This is a point of frustration for both, who recognize, it’s the system that has taught us to pit us against each other.  It’s up to us to get ourselves out of the weeds and come together.  These two also enjoy talking tech with each other and brainstorming new and innovative ways to improve the industry and put more money into strippers hands, garters and bank accounts!

Onyx Black is undeniably a community supporter. She spends as much time as possible creating donor events and fundraisers for local and national issues. Her tenacity is unmatched by most actually.
