Miles Woods, aka @yungpolemaster is a stripper whisperer. He truly cares about the stripping community, is a stripper himself and has dedicated his work to supporting and teaching strippers across the country. Young and wise, AM had the chance to chat with this rising super star and he’s full of joy and love. His perspectives are fresh and his experiences are from all angles, as a male stripper who sometimes performs at all female clubs. Something not very many men can say for themselves.

Caroline is an interesting one. She has an MSW, she’s a certified social worker and therapist, she’s a fully hearing ASL interpreter. She helps deaf people experience and feel music like never before. She signs while stripping, which is probably not something that any other stripper does, and it’s amazing. She understands discrimination from working with the deaf community and she understands discrimination from being a stripper for years. AM and Caroline talk about the work she does, is doing and how discrimination is hurtful in all areas of being.

Two strippers from the same club talk to AM about their club shutting down and letting go of all dancers and employees without any notice. Malice, who had been dancing at Cheetah’s for several years and Teddy who had been there for about two years. Regardless of how long they worked there, they were reliant on their job, like most people are. Even before they were shut down, they were experiencing massive wage theft from the owners and management. Only to be cast aside later with very little alternatives. This story is one that all strippers should hear, because it could happen to any one of us at any time.

Jordan Kensley is outspoken, in your face and direct. In a world where being direct as a woman makes most people shake in their boots, Jordan is unapologetic about her powers. She is opinionated and educated and makes you think. Whether you agree with her or not, you can’t help but listen. Jordan and AM had a blast talking on this one, so much so that time just flew by. These two have experience working together in the pole dance industry world and the stripper world. Both dance on the line between the two industries.

Since she was seven years old, Fox wanted to be a pole dancer. Little did she know she was predicting her future. Fox is not only a pole dancer, but a stripper, a contemporary dancer, a musician, a song writer, a script writer, an actor and a photographer. She wants to do all the things, and why shouldn’t she? It’s possible to have layers, to have different dimensions of yourself. Fox and AM discuss the layers and philosophize on different subjects.

A true hero, Valerie Hager was the creator, writer, producer and only actor in a 13 character play called “Naked in Alaska”. Even though she is no longer a stripper, it’s still in her bones. To this day, when she sees others abusing strippers rights or carelessly appropriating our culture, her blood gets hot. With chops of stripping in Tijuana and Alaska, it doesn’t get more badass than that.

Megan, a long time dancer at Jumbo’s Clown Room, who has danced  at over 10 clubs has never gotten used to calling herself a stripper.  Even though she has shown her nipples… even then though, she would always decorate her nipples with glitter or glittery stickers, so she wouldn’t “feel” totally topless.  On this episode, we see her struggled and discuss the mentality behind it.

Nadia Sharif and AM are the best of friends, and you can definitely hear that dynamic in this show. Nadia used to be an engineer and quit her job to become a full time pole dancer. Nadia has a light amount of experience in strip clubs and a long time career in the pole dance fitness industry. Because she is a stripper ally but has spent so much time in the pole dance industry, she has interesting perspectives on the stripper and pole dancer divide.
